Can't we just get well?
Friday night was a nightmare. Both children started coughing again - no big deal, right? But Lucy coughed so much in her sleep that she started throwing up and then Tarver was so congested that he couldn't sleep. To complicate the matter, we were at my in-laws' house, without all our own things - including a bath tub. We put Lucy in the shower instead.
Saturday morning, we all woke up groggy and quite sick.
Saturday afternoon, Lucy's eyes started weeping tears and mucus. Closer inspection revealed a slight pinkness to her eye. Pink eye. Great.
Saturday night/early Sunday morning was pretty bad. When the kids' medicine wore off, they were coughing so horribly that I woke up and administered more while they slept through it.
I'm exhausted. And the lack of sleep made it possible for my immune system to shut down and now I'm sick too.
I'm so tired of sniffles and sneezes at this house!!!

New Due Date and Sonogram Results
The new due date (sigh) is JULY 12th!!!!!! Woo hoo! That means I'm less pregnant than I thought! Or, less far along, since you either are or are not pregnant.
We're ridiculously excited.
19 weeks pregnant!
We also found out what the sex is.
Any guesses?

Washing Machine Woes
Last night I heard a very, very strange noise in our kitchen. It sounded like the washing machine...crossed with Niagara Falls....
Our washing machine flooded our kitchen and part of our dining area. The sensor inside stopped working so it just kept filling and filling and filling. We were still downstairs when it happened so we stopped it before it got too crazy. Skye spent almost an hour pushing water out the back door. And now I know where the low places are in my floor. The machine has been giving us some minor problems for a while but this is just ridiculous. Looks like I know where my tax return is going.... Darn. I had other plans for that thing.

Sick Kids
I woke up at 4:44 AM this morning feeling like I should check on the kids. Lucy was fine. Tarver was burning up with a fever: 102.6 •F.
They've had colds for about a week. Yesterday I finally got the cold too. But this fever... Having a sick baby is hard on many levels. Today will be a cuddle on the couch, do-nothing day.
Oh-and Skye was my hero when he went for more baby Tylenol at 5:00 AM. :-)
