The "Mormon Moment"

Oh. My. Gosh. :-) I am loving all these news articles on Mormons right now. There are so many arguments out there, and scholars weighing in, with a little bit of bigotry and a whole lot of name-calling. I'm not a contentious person - I don't like picking fights - but I LOVE reading this stuff and then the comments other readers make. I confess to dropping a few notes of my own.

I guess we can blame it on Broadway, and those two guys aiming to be the Republican candidate for President.

I hope all this PR is generating some honest questions and putting to rest a few myths from people NOT of the faith. I'm sure it's stirring up just as many anti-Mormon ads and propaganda too.

For the record, if you say "Mormon" and you mean members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (not any crazy splinter groups), then you are referencing a Christian person/group.

HERE is a definition of Christian. Guess what? I'm Mormon and I meet all the criteria for this one!

And yes, this beautiful Christus statue is located in Salt Lake City, at the Mormon Temple Square.
